2014 Best Innovations of the World

2014 has played a tremendous role which could change the World in future. Here are the Top 5 Innovations with brief descriptions.

Vodafone Foundation Instant Network Mini:
The solution provides a secure mobile 2G GSM network in a robust backpack that can be taken as carry-on luggage on commercial flights. The GSM BTS connects to a host network over a highly portable satellite connection and is run through an integrated battery solution. In a disaster situation power is key, Hence Mini focuses on having multiple power possibilities, including a supplied 62W solar panel. The equipment can be deployed by a single operator in a matter of minutes and will provide up to 5 concurrent GSM calls within a radius of approximately 100 meters. It is particularly suited to providing a GSM mobile network for first responders in the immediate aftermath of a disaster.

Solar Roadways:

Solar Roadways is a modular paving system of solar panels that can withstand the heaviest of trucks. They pay for themselves primarily through the generation of electricity, which can power homes and businesses connected via driveways and parking lots. A nationwide system could produce more clean renewable energy than a country uses as a whole. They have many other features as well, including: heating elements to stay snow/ice free, LEDs to make road lines and signage, and attached Cable Corridor to store and treat stormwater and provide a “home” for power and data cables. EVs will be able to charge with energy from the sun (instead of fossil fuels) from parking lots and driveways and after a roadway system is in place, mutual induction technology will allow for charging while driving.

ReSound LiNX hearing aid:
LiNX is the world’s first Made for iPhone hearing aid, developed in partnership between Apple and the Danish company, ReSound. The hearing aid will pair with an iPhone (or iPad, or iPod) and allow users to access detailed controls, as well as functioning a bit like a pair of Bluetooth headphones.

Hendo Hover:
The magic behind the hoverboard lies in its disc-shaped hover engines. These engines induce an opposing magnetic field in the surface substrate below that provides lift, levitating our board off the ground. The Hendo hoverboard is primarily intended to be human-driven, the technology that gives it stability can also be used to drive it via remote control by altering the projected force on the surface underneath it.

Samsung Gear VR:
Samsung Gear VR is a 360 degree virtual reality headset. Once positioned properly, the Gear VR displays images through individual lenses to your eyes to provide you with a virtual reality experience. The Gear VR reacts to your movements through a variety of sensors, as well as input from a touchpad and button on the left side of the unit. It can output audio through speakers or to connected Bluetooth wireless headsets
